Literature survey

Before the primary analysis, a synthesis of the key ideas, concepts and theories is important. A literature survey is a piece of discursive prose, not a list describing or summarizing one piece of literature after another. It is an iterative process, assessing and distilling information. One of the key purposes of the literature survey is to investigate a problem that no one else has addressed.

Selecting the right sources

We use a wide range of sources to review that explains the rationale, places the research in a broad context, reviews studies that can be generalized and are transferable, and identifies methodological shortcomings. In doing so, we make sure that the literature study has:

It contributes to the development of a topic and includes an exhaustive summary of evidence with maximum accountability and transparency. Furthermore, an analysis of the overarching philosophical or theoretical assumptions.

An assessment of articles published in reputable publications to create an integrated review by offering criticism and synthesis.

It appraises recent research and deconstructs them to identify trends and issues. It also helps to find common denominators in order to flag inconsistencies and establish a research gap.

Conditioning a commendable review through contemporary frameworks

We follow an iterative process of conducting a preliminary search on the right databases before screening the results and developing the conceptual framework. The right approach yields an actionable plan for empirical investigation and analysis. The final report includes a coherent synthesis in the form of a descriptive report containing text, graphs, and tables. Spreadsheets or grids to help track numerous sources across consistent variables or metrics are also provided. Checklists to help track connections and progress are updated daily to keep our customers abreast of the progress in their research.
