I have a big dataset ; 291 rice farmers for efficiency analysis. Following your suggestion to Santa Ordia, I have done the analysis using Stata vrs dear. Can I merge the guests or vrs the and use it as dependent variable in Tobit regression?

Hello Sir;
I am a research scholar from udaipur, Rajasthan. I am working on a prediction model for Indian Banking Industry. For the benchmarking i need to apply DEA. I have data of 78 banks (Public, private and Foreign banks operating in India.). I don’t find any free DEA Frontier software which can analyze more than 20 DMU. Could you please help me in this.

Hello Samta Ordia,

It’s a very big dataset you are working on but as the problem, you are facing it will be really difficult to have a free software were more than 20 DMUs can be used. My suggestion is if you want to use a free software, divide the three types of bank and separately analyze their efficiency. For this, you will also have to shorten the number of DMUs 78 to 60. After checking the efficiency separately, conduct another efficiency test among the most efficient ones. Now you can predict a model for Indian Banking Industry. I hope it will be helpful for you.
