Markov Chain is an area of interest for me. It would be interesting to apply Markov Chain in one way or the other to the current global pandemic challenge. What do you think? In your opinion what would be the most important parameters/variables to consider. How do you obtain the transition probabilities?

Applying markov chain to the pandemic is an interesting idea. in this case, the main variables that can help in prediction of the spread of the disease will be:
1) number of persons living with the disease during a specified time period
2) rate of death from the disease
