Hello. Why do you call this LASSO? This is misleading, I’m afraid. You just describe stepwise variable selection here. Have a look at the real LASSO, for example here https://community.ibm.com/community/user/datascience/blogs/moloy-de1/2020/06/12/points-to-ponder SPSS does not provide LASSO in the linear regression.
