My advisor commented on my sampling procedure as follows. Please help me to share the formula stated below. I couldn’t found it.
To avoid the problem of
representation arises from non-returnable
questionnaires, the researcher will use the
following formula which is the derivative of
the above formula developed by C. R. Kothary,
2004:
R=S/Z
R = Refers to returnability
S = Refers to sample size
Z = z-value of the confidence level

Can you recommend a good formula for a qualitative study among healthcare workers in Africa?

Hi Betty
For qualitative study, generally there is no formula applied to determine sample size for number of interviewee’s to be included. However, most of the studies suggest 10-30 interviewee’s as sample size.

Hi Gezahagne,
You can have primary analysis using survey or interview method for either determining the strategy or comparing it.
