I got negative cronbanch alpha. Sample size used was 44 with 5 likert scale. . What sample should increased from 44?

During reliability analysis, this error appears “The value is negative due to a negative average covariance among items. This violates reliability model assumptions. You may want to check item codings.”

Kindly advise on how to make my alpha cronbach’s positive the soonest.

Hi Teya,
This error is due to either fault in your data or wrong labeling. Check that you have added labels for all the statements correctly. If still, the error is there then it would mean your data is not adequate for any relevant deductions and you need to change it
