How to install SPSS Amos software for SEM analysis?
AMOS is the IBM SPSS statistical software which is an easy-to-use program for performing Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). There are two ways to install SPSS Amos, both of which are visible on the IBM products page. You can either start a 30-day trial on Amos by creating your IBM account or log in using your IBM account and download the files for Amos software.
Currently, AMOS is suitable for Windows only for all 32 or 64 bit, but still, for checking your system compatibility, you can view it by clicking here. With the purchase of the software license, you will receive separate documents with authorization codes or in some situations multiple codes. Save these authorization codes for licensing of the software.
Installing SPSS Amos software
Once you have downloaded the software and the authorization code, save that on any of your local drives. For example, in this article, the files are saved on a Local disk (D).

The folder consists of two documents i.e. setup and activation code. The setup folder consists of the Amos software installation extension files while the activation code includes a license or authorization code for the successful usage of Amos.

With this extract, the zip file of setup by right-clicking and opening the setup folder. Right-click on setup application type and run it as administrator.

With this, accept the allow your computer to make changes, then the below-shown dialogue box will open.

Click on install IBM SPSS Amos 23. With this, the InstallShield Wizard will open as shown below the window.

Click on single-user license if you have purchased the license for SPSS Amos, and then click on “Next”.

After this, the licensing of the software is required. Thus, select “ I accept all the terms in the license agreement” and then click on Next. A below-shown window will appear.

Once the license agreement is accepted, you can select any username. Herein, the name is stated as “HP”. Further, once, the user name has been inserted click on Next. With this, a below-shown window will appear.

Now, you need to select the destination wherein you need to save the software. You can change, the location by clicking on change else if you don’t want to change, then click on ‘Next’.

Finally, the installation window will appear (Figure 9). The window depicts that the setup is ready to install the software, so click on ‘Install’.

The window shown in the figure above will open depicting that your installation of the software has begun. Once, the status bar is filled, the installation will be completed.

With the completion of Amos installation above window will appear. Click on ‘OK’ to start the program and license it. For this product, the authorization window will open as shown below.

As you have purchased the software, select the ‘License my product now’ option and click on ‘Next’.

For licensing, copy your authorization code derived from licensing your software and paste it into the ‘Enter Code’ box. Once the code is pasted, click on ‘Next’.

With the completion of licensing, the successful installation status will be displayed. Click on ‘Next’. Now the successfully licensing status is depicted as shown in the image above. Click on ‘Finish’ for completing the installation process. You can now see SPSS Amos in the ‘Start’ menu as ‘Amos Graphics’. With this, the installation of IBM SPSS Amos is completed and you can successfully model SEM for analysis.
